US Mortgage of Florida was expanding rapidly beyond its Boca Raton home base. As the company became licensed in additional states, each market needed its own website, licensing information, loan officers, forms and content while remaining part of the same company.
DECISION
Build the websites as a WordPress multisite network rather than creating a collection of unrelated websites. The Florida site established the structure for new state sites, providing a repeatable way to add locations while accommodating state-specific requirements.
As US Mortgage expanded, sites were added for Texas, North Carolina, Maryland, Georgia, South Carolina and other markets, along with new branches, loan officers, forms and functionality.
OUTCOME
US Mortgage grew operations to fourteen states while its WordPress platform expanded with it. The individual state websites were managed through a single WordPress multisite installation, giving the company a common foundation without forcing every state operation into an identical website.
The project shows what WordPress can do when the website architecture is planned around how a growing business actually operates.
