Let’s Talk About Your Website

If you're considering a new website or a significant rebuild, we can start with what's happening in your business.

You don't need to have the project figured out before we talk.

Chris Smith discussing business website strategy from the HYPEsites office

What the Conversation Is

The first conversation takes about 30 minutes.

It is not a sales presentation or a packaged strategy session.

We’ll start with what is happening in your business, why you’re considering the website now, and what you need it to do differently.

Sometimes that leads to a clear website project. Sometimes it changes the project you thought you needed.

The goal is to understand the problem before defining the work.

A Few Things Worth Knowing Before We Talk

You don’t need to know exactly what you need before reaching out. But you may already have questions about whether this is the right kind of conversation.

“I just need a quote.”

A useful quote depends on knowing what should actually be built.

We’ll start by defining the project. Once that’s clear, I can determine what it should take to build it.

“We’re not ready yet.”

That may be the right time to talk.

It’s easier to make good decisions before a platform, scope, budget, or proposal has already narrowed your options.

“We already have a developer.”

That doesn’t necessarily make the conversation irrelevant.

If you’re questioning what should be built or whether the project has been defined correctly, we can start there. Where it leads depends on what we find.

“We just need a few changes.”

For existing clients, ongoing changes are part of the relationship.

New HYPEsites engagements are built around complete website projects rather than individual edits or one-off development tasks.

“We need help with a project already underway.”

Sometimes the problem is the implementation. Sometimes it’s the project that was defined before implementation began.

We can talk about what isn’t working and determine whether it makes sense for HYPEsites to become involved.

No Pressure to Turn This Into a Project

A useful first conversation should help both of us decide whether working together makes sense.

“Even if we hadn't worked together, that one call was worth thousands in insights.”

Tell Me What’s Going On

You don’t need a project brief. A few details about your business, your current website, and what prompted you to reach out are enough to start.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
